Memorial Day Parade Information

Hello!

It’s been a minute since we’ve had any NPMK news but we are back in action soon! As always, we will do our part to honor those who have served and been lost for our country on Memorial Day. Participating in the Lansdale Memorial Day Parade is an essential and important part of being a Marching Knight! However, it is important to know that the Memorial Day Parade is for 10th-12th Grade NPMK students only. Middle School students (8th/9th) are required to march with their Middle School Bands in the parade. With that in mind here’s what you need to know…

Rehearsal
Tuesday, May 21 – 6:30-8:30 PM at NPHS
We always have a rehearsal for the parade since most of the students need a biiiiig refresher on the music/work and need to remember how to march, etc. We also do our Drum Major auditions on this night. This is a required rehearsal for the parade. Middle School students do not attend since they are not in the parade.

Parade Day
Monday, May 27 
Our itinerary looks something like this:

  • 8:15 AM – NPMK assembles at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home in Full Traditional Uniform
  • 9:00 AM – Parade Begins
  • 9:45 AM – Parade Ends (NPMK students are dismissed unless they are in Wind Ensemble)
  • 10:00 AM – Ceremony begins at the park (Wind Ensemble students stay and perform)
  • 10:45 AM – Ceremony ends, load up the truck
  • 11:00 AM – return to NPHS and unload

Next General Parent Meeting – Monday, May 20

The next NPMA General Parent Meeting will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 7:30 PM in A033. Here are the 2024 April General Parent Meeting Minutes.

Freddy Hill Mini-Golf
Tickets are $6, good for any date. Students receive $1 credit in their Charms account. The tickets have no expiration. Contact Kevin Hendricks at NPMA.fundraising@gmail.com for tickets.

Wawa Shorti Hoagie Coupons are $5. Students receive $1 credit for each coupon. Contact Rachel Hendricks NPMA.publicity@gmail.com for more info.
