2025 NPMK Registration Information


Required Forms

Please submit the following information by June 18, 2025.


Membership Fees

  • The 2025 Membership Fee is $495. This fee is used to pay for professional staff, summer band camp meals, competition day meals, travel costs, props, flags, uniform and more. It does not include any accessories (t-shirts, gloves, Dinkles, wristies, UDB app).
  • There are 2 options for Membership Fee Payment.
    • Option 1 – Full Payment ($495) Payments are due by the following dates:
      • Lump Sum ($495) or Installment 1 ($195) + accessories (varies) – Tuesday, July 15
      • Installment 2 ($100) – Tuesday, August 19
      • Installment 3 ($100) – Tuesday, September 23
      • Installment 4 ($100) – Tuesday, October 21
    • Option 2 – Volunteer Discount Opt-in ($395 + 15 hours required volunteering) Payments are due by the following dates:
      • Installment 1 ($195) + accessories (varies) – Tuesday, July 15
      • Installment 2 ($100) – Tuesday, August 19
      • Installment 3 ($100) – Tuesday, September 23
      • The Volunteer Discount Opt-in reduces the Membership Fee by 20% in exchange for 15 hours of volunteering per family.  All families will have opportunities for Parents/Siblings to sign up for dozens of different activities that need volunteers. Hours will be tracked and recorded by NPMA.  In the event that a family signs up for Option 2 but does not complete the 15 hours, a $100 balance will be due at the end of the season (Saturday, November 8).
  • The first installment should also include payment for necessary accessories.
    • Uniform T-Shirt ($10) – All members will need at least one NPMK Practice T-Shirt. This is a non-cotton, dry-fit shirt. We recommend two (or more) due to frequent, heavy use. We wear them for every Friday and Saturday rehearsal. This year, we are changing the colors of the shirts so ALL members will need at least one NEW shirt.
      PERCUSSION (Battery & Front Ensemble) – White
      COLOR GUARD – Columbia Blue
      WINDS (Brass & Woodwinds) – Navy Blue
    • Gloves ($5) – All Woodwind and Brass members need a pair of BLACK GLOVES. All NEW woodwind and brass players must order them. RETURNING woodwind and brass players only need to order gloves if theirs are lost or damaged. Battery Percussion, Front Ensemble and Color Guard members do not need to order gloves.
    • “Dinkles” Marching Shoes ($40) – All NEW members need BLACK Dinkles except for COLOR GUARD.  RETURNING members only need to order Dinkles if theirs are lost or damaged.
    • Wristies ($5) – Wristies are only for BATTERY and FRONT ENSEMBLE members. We are wearing BLACK WRISTIES this year. All NEW Battery & Front Ensemble members must order them. RETURNING Battery & Front Ensemble members only need to order wristies if theirs are lost or damaged. All woodwind, brass and color guard members do NOT need Wristies.
    • Color Guard Shoes ($32) – Only for Color Guard!
    • Color Guard Body Tights ($22) – Only for Color Guard! All NEW Color Guard members must order them. RETURNING Color Guard members only need to order them if theirs are lost, damaged, or ill-fitting. All woodwind, brass and percussion members do NOT need body tights.
    • Ultimate Dot Book ($20) – All Students EXCEPT FRONT ENSEMBLE need to purchase a License for the Ultimate Dot Book App and a DotBook.  This is how the students learn their drill/coordinates on the field.
  • KNIGHTS IN NEED – We understand that this Membership Fee may represent a financial hardship for your family, especially due to current circumstances. If this is the case in your family, please consider applying for our Knights in Need program, which helps to support families who need financial assistance for Marching Band, our Indoor Guard and Percussion programs, and more. To apply for Knights in Need, contact NPMA President John Ashley at npma.president@gmail.com. Your application is strictly confidential.

Additional Information

  • Knight of Sound – Saturday, October 11, 2025
    • Knight of Sound is the USBands Competition that we host at North Penn High School. This is a massive event that runs from early in the morning to late at night. Knight of Sound is the main source of funding for the Marching Knights. This event requires an incredible amount of volunteer power. This year, we are requiring all families to volunteer for at least one 4-hour shift at the Knight of Sound.  This shift can be covered by any member of the family (other than the performing member).
    • Failure to complete your family Knight of Sound obligation will result in a $50 fee added to your final payment for NPMK (regardless of payment plan).
    • Volunteer opportunities for KOS will be clearly communicated by NPMA well in advance of the event. Please plan on being available on this day.
  • Please do not submit any payments before July 1, 2025.
  • Once you submit the online registration form, you will receive an Invoice for Payment.  This invoice will include an itemized list including Membership Fee and Accessories.  It will also detail your options for payment and a reminder of payment dates.
  • Your invoice should be in your email inbox by June 30, 2025. If you do not receive your invoice within one week of that date, please contact Mr. Santanello at santanjj@npenn.org.
  • Student Financials are reconciled monthly and failure to submit payments by established due dates could result in suspension from performance events for your child.
  • If a student drops out, no refund will be made after July 28, 2025. A refund request must come in the form of a written request from the student’s parent/guardian and emailed to NPMA.president@gmail.com and santanjj@npenn.org
  • North Penn Music Aides, Inc. will assess a $35 charge for any returned check.

Payment Options

  • Check made out to “NPMA” – Write student name on the memo line and place in an envelope labeled with student name, section, and purpose of payment. Place in the Blue Box in the band room.
  • PayPal – Visit the Online Payments page to submit your payment via PayPal. Note that a 3.25% processing fee will be added to your payment amount.
  • Student Credit – Check your Cut Time account to see your balance due. Student Credit will be applied automatically. Contact npma.studentfinancials@gmail.com with questions regarding Cut Time.
